Science Lab
As per the CBSE, Science Laboratories are an essential and critical component in Science education. All students study Science as a compulsory subject up to Grade X and a significant percentage of them continue studying Physics, Chemistry, and Biology etc. at senior secondary level. This requires conduct of regular practical work and use of a variety of equipment, instruments, gadgets, materials, chemicals, glassware etc.
The school is well equipped with the Physics, Chemistry, Biology lab, as per the latest trend and technology, for secondary and senior secondary classes. It is very spacious and well lit as well as ventilated. All the labs have permanent working tables with granite tops and large storage spaces. It has all the latest equipment and apparatus (as prescribed by the CBSE) which act as teaching aids and make the subject of science, activity based instead of the traditional conceptual one. The Physics Laboratory is equipped with digital multimeters, semiconductor related apparatus and stainless – steel optical benches. Chemistry Lab has all the required apparatus and chemicals while the Biology Lab is fully equipped to teach students through preserved specimen permanent slides, chemicals, microscopes, charts & other glass apparatus required for experiments and demonstrations. The lab envisages model on Human Skeleton and various human parts which can create interest among students for the in-depth study of the human body, plants and the other living beings.
According to the CBSE norms, at a time 30-32 students can perform a wide range of experiments simultaneously. In order to ensure safety of students working in Science laboratories, every essential precaution is taken well in advance. Gas fittings in the chemistry laboratory fulfil the mandatory standards and requirements. Chemicals are kept under safe custody of the school. Mandatory items such as laboratory coats, gloves etc. are used while doing experimental work. Fire extinguishers are duly installed at desired locations. Adequate First aid and Medical facilities are readily available for the safety of the students.
